When it comes to the different types of table linens, there are many different options to choose from. Whether you're looking for something festive or just want to add a pop of color to your table, there's definitely a table linen out there for you.

Table linens are fabric goods intended for repeated use and include such items as bulk tablecloths, napkins, placemats, table skirting and table napkins.

Table napkins are a small piece of table linen that is used to wipe the mouth and to cover the lap in order to protect clothing or place mats, which serve as a table linen for an individual place setting. Linen napkins, especially those with a vibrant color, are often used to transform a table from the ordinary to special.

A tablecloth is used to cover a table. They can be ornamental coverings, as well as a provider of protection from scratches and stains. Other tablecloths are designed to be spread on a dining table before laying out tableware and food. Tablecloths are standard covering for a restaurant dining table and in many homeowners formal dinner tables and are often high quality, bright white linen or cotton cloth. Some of the most popular types of tablecloth fabric include cotton, polyester and linen tablecloths. Polyester tablecloths are easy to wipe down and clean and are often found in casual dining restaurants.

Bright white premium square tablecloths are made from MJS super-spun polyester which offers greater durability and better absorbency. Spun Polyester has greater durability than normal polyester fabric. Spun polyester is durable through 300 washings. The fabric has a heavier cotton/polyester blend texture to the touch so it feels softer. Numerous washing do not fade the fabric and will produce an even softer touch.  Table cloths typically come in three shapes round, square, and rectangle.

Table skirting, also known as a table runner, is a great way to jazz up a table and add style to a room. They are similar to tablecloths and wrap around the edge of a table leaving the top uncovered. Table skirts are usually chosen in a fabric to match existing décor. They often feature box, accordion, and shirred pleats. High-quality table linens can provide added protection from spills that can cause staining or damage. Table runners are typically used on special occasions or as part of a more elaborate table setting.

A placemat or table mat is a covering or pad designating an individual place setting, unlike the larger tablecloth that covers the entire surface. Placemats are made from many different materials, depending on their intended use: to protect, decorate, or provide dining flare. Placemats for restaurants are often woven textile or vinyl so they can be easily wiped clean with soap and water and air dried. Fine restaurants also dress up placemats with table centers and posh crockery or fancy plates. They must be reliable and last a long time for commercial use.
